Taking action against economic injustice in Galicia, Cordillera and Jardim Gramacho
Through action-oriented workshops on mining and forest fires, we organise local pop-up events at youth movements and organisations where you, together with a YOUCA colleague, will raise awareness amongst your peers in your neighbourhood and motivate them to get involved in the fight for a more sustainable future! But, um, hang on a moment… How does one go about facilitating workshops?
A ready-to-use workshop guide!
Don’t panic. During this training day, you’ll be fully prepared to become a fun workshop facilitator. You’ll be given the tips and tricks you need to stand in front of a group with confidence. Expect fun simulations, plenty of laughter and, above all, opportunities to practise and hone your facilitation skills – not just for the YOUCA pop-ups, but also for a presentation at school, an interview for a newspaper or on TV, or any other situation where you find yourself in front of a group.
With YAP – the Youth Activist Playground – YOUCA is popping up all over Flanders and Brussels; perhaps even in your area?
YAP is our rebellious youth project, a space for and by young people where innovation, experimentation and climate activism come together. Young people get to grips with design thinking and explore economic injustice around the world: from mining that destroys nature to the relentless pressure to consume in the fast fashion industry. Using the knowledge they’ve gained, they put togethertwo brilliant, experiential workshops and organise anactivist campaign as the icing on the cake. In this way, they inspire anew generation of young climate activists who, just like them, throw themselves wholeheartedly into the fight against injustice and the exploitation of people and the planet!
Would you like YOUCA to come to your neighbourhood? Convince the youth worker at your youth group or organisation to get in touch with us!
