Young people
(aged 15–25, from all types of education and fields of study) who want to get involved in making the world a better place.
Young people are confronted with major problems such as inequality and climate change, which lead to frustration and a sense of powerlessness. They lack a clear path to action and are looking for ways to make a positive impact, where their actions actually make a difference.
All secondary schools teaching in Dutch in Flanders and Brussels
which aim to help pupils grow into engaged, responsible and active citizens.
Schools are looking for ways to engage pupils – entirely in line with the learning outcomes – in citizenship education, social engagement, personal development and sustainability, in order to support them in their development into engaged, responsible and active citizens.
Employers
who wish to increase their positive impact and strengthen their commitment to social issues.
Employers who wish to achieve their CSR goals and/or contribute to a sustainable and just society, whilst actively involving young people to better prepare them for the future.
Examples: the local baker, SMEs, large multinationals and everything in between!
A wide range of organisations and initiatives
which focus on social engagement, cultural exchange, education and wellbeing within society, and regard youth engagement as an essential building block in this regard.
Many of these organisations have fantastic ideas and initiatives, but do not always succeed in effectively translating these into a substantial social impact. This may be due to a lack of resources, support or effective strategies for engaging young people and communities.
Examples: youth organisations, local councils and local authorities, socio-cultural associations, voluntary organisations, arts and culture, social innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, etc.
