Even more often the question echoes, "We want young people on our board, but how do you start?". As a youth-led organisation, YOUCA has built up a lot of expertise in recent years on how to involve young voices in its organisational structures. At least 70% of our board and AGM members are under the age of 26. Quite unique compared to the 15 organisations in Belgium we surveyed on the subject. On the basis of additional literature research and in-depth interviews with young people taking up a board mandate in the socio-cultural sector, we created a targeted offer for organisations and companies wishing to involve young people within the highest policies.
