YOUCA Action Day for teachers
Would you like to take part in the YOUCA Action Day with your school? Super! Give your pupils, like 200 other schools in Flanders and Brussels, the chance to test out their dream job. The wages they earn on that school day will go to projects of committed young people worldwide. The next YOUCA Action Day will take place on 16 October 2025.

How to join?
Register your school through the jobbank for the YOUCA Action Day by 31 May! You can register a whole year, a class, a direction or a group of pupils. YOUCA offers free material to shape the day, such as an educational pack, two application lessons and a project film to prepare your pupils in the best possible way. If you wish, we will even visit your school. You choose which parts of our offer you want to use!
With the YOUCA Action Day, we encourage civic responsibility in our pupils and impart certain values to them. Most pupils are very positive. They look for a job according to their field of study and take this experience into their later choice!
Why participate?
- Your students build on their competences for now and later: drawing up CVs, writing motivation letters, presenting themselves to an employer.
- You offer them a challenging (first) work experience, a chance to give direction to their choice of study , test out their future job or take a look behind the scenes at a unique location.
- You promote active citizenship and bring solidarity into your school. The YOUCA Action Day is a way to contribute to a sustainable and just society by doing.
- Your pupils get the chance to meet peers from Peru. They tell their own stories in class.
- And so you work on the attainment targets.
In short: by taking part in the YOUCA Action Day, your pupils will engage in active and experiential labour market exploration, they will get in touch with their peers from Burundi and you will bring a solid dose of solidarity to your school!

The jobbank
We are organising the YOUCA Action Day entirely through our job bank. That's a website where your students get in touch with employers. They will find numerous vacancies for jobs-for-a-day: from shop assistant to animal carer, green services, hospitality, cabinet worker,... . On the YOUCA Action Day, pupils really get to work everywhere.
You register your school via your teacher profile on the job board by 31 May at the latest. From 1 September, your pupils can register. They will see a job database and can apply for their favourite job via the job bank. We also encourage students to look for jobs outside the job bank. They do so by tapping into their network or by spontaneously applying to their dream company.
As a teacher, you can follow what your students are doing on the job board at any time. You see how often and for which jobs they apply, and you can read their cover letters. You always stay fully informed. YOUCA takes care of all administration and financial follow-up via the job bank. So as a teacher, you don't have to worry about this!
