For whom?

Who does YOUCA support? Who can always come to us?

Youth

(15-25 years, from any form of education and field of study) who want to get involved for a better world.

Young people face major issues such as inequality and climate change which leads to frustration and powerlessness. They lack action perspective and look for ways to make positive impact, where their actions actually make a difference.

All secondary Dutch-language schools in Flanders and Brussels

who want pupils to grow into engaged, responsible and active citizens.

Schools are looking for ways to engage pupils in civic education, civic engagement, personal development and sustainability - fully in line with the attainment targets - to support them in their development into engaged, responsible and active citizens.

Employers

Who want to increase their positive impact and strengthen their commitment to social issues.

Employers who want to achieve their CSR goals and/or contribute to a sustainable and just society where they want to actively involve young people to better prepare for the future.

Examples: bakery around the corner, SMEs, large multinationals and everything in between!

Broad spectrum of organisations and initiatives

that focus on civic engagement, cultural exchange, education and well-being within society and see youth engagement as an essential building block in doing so.

Many of these organisations have great ideas and initiatives, but do not always manage to effectively turn them into a substantial social impact. This may be due to a lack of resources, support or effective strategies to engage young people and communities.

Examples: youth and youth organisations, city councils and local authorities, socio-cultural associations, voluntary organisations, arts and culture, social innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, ...
