YOUCA pops up all over Flanders and Brussels, including yours?
Inspired by the courageous activism of indigenous youth in the Peruvian Amazon forest, YOUCA youth in Belgium also want to spark climate activism among their peers. Using action-oriented and impactful workshops, they are organising local pop-ups with Forest Front at youth organisations across Flanders and Belgium to mobilise other young people for a more just climate policy in Belgium, Europe and the world!
What is Forest Front?
Forest Front is our brand new and greenest youth project! During 3 weekends in February, March and April, young people at YOUCA will work with seasoned climate experts and delve into forest management, climate justice and young climate activism. With their gathered knowledge, they will put together 3 cool, action-oriented workshops with which they will pop up at youth organisations all over Flanders and Brussels. This way, they motivate a new generation of climate activists to join them in the fight for our planet!
Be part of a young climate front!
We are looking for youth organisations, as well as youth clubs, movements, other young collectives that want to join us in an approachable and informal way to learn about
- why we need to protect forests globally,
- how a just climate policy can hold ultra-exploiters accountable,
- what (more) young climate activism can mean for the climate challenges of our time!
You are the partner we are looking for if you are incentivised to explore relevant climate themes with your target audience. By joining forces, together we will build a young climate front where young people are inspired by each other, challenged to new insights and set in motion to contribute to a more sustainable climate future!
When YOUCA pops up, then...
- subscribe to one or more 2-hour workshops , completely free of charge, on a specific climate theme,
- you receive 1 or 2 enthusiastic YOUCA youth volunteers (supported by a team member),
- you ensure young enthusiasm by bringing together a group of at least 5 young people at your location!
